Bob Fosse is one of my favourite dancers and choreographers. His groundbreaking jazz steps are influenced by the cake- and the camel walk, historical performed by great vaudeville dancers like Joe Frisco and Jack Cole, counteracted by his own inventions, the chick walk, the fan kick, the hinge walk and the drag step.

So here's a sketch inspired by Monty Python the Guardian published back in April with Patrick Stewart: what has the European Convention on Human Rights ever done for us? We mean apart from the right to a fair trial, freedom from slavery, freedom from torture ...

Hollywood heavyweights reject top French films in an Ogilvy & Mather Singapore experiment

An aspiring French filmmaker sits down with Hollywood's top producers of big budget blockbusters to pitch his seemingly eccentric movie ideas. It doesn't go well. Unbeknownst to them, the scripts he describes have already been created and released to critical acclaim, even winning The Palme d'Or, the highest prize awarded at the Cannes Film
Festival.

This is the crux of new short films released by Alliance Française de Singapour, part of the leading global network promoting French language and culture, in support of their efforts to promote French cinema to audiences in Singapore and around the world and grow its popularity.

What the experiment showed is that even the very best French cinematic masterpieces wouldn't have had a chance in Hollywood as they don't fit the traditional formula.

In a video posted on Twitter, Emirates Airlines recirculates a comment United Airlines CEO Oscar Munoz made in March about Gulf Airlines (like Emirates) not actually being airlines.

"Well Mr. Munoz," the video slate reads. "According to Tripadvisor, the world's largest travel site, not only are we a real airline we are the best airline."
