New Zealand hip hop crew Ladi6 is back! Last summer, Ladi, Parks, Julien Dyne and Brandon Haru teamed up with NZ bar chain The Matterhorn to host a collection of shows called The Alpha Sessions. Over nine shows held between two cities, they set up an entire studio-like setup on stage to perform, with live improvisation and freestyle. These sessions would later create the forthcoming album by the acclaimed group.

Today, we have for you the first single from the project titled “Beffy.” The track is a reframe of 90s/early 2000s neo-soul and hip-hop sound their early music was built on inside a krautrock inspired electronic frame. In line with the approach, the album sees all four musicians sharing production duties, making it a complete group effort.
